First Blogging Attempt
I am making myself do this - I am not the type of person that just sends out random messages to unknown people out there - but I want to start using this in my school and I need to figure out how– and what better way than to get started and do it myself.
I have been inspired to set up my own blog while currently reading the book - Julie & Julia my year of cooking dangerously by Julie Powell. Julie has set about trying to cook every single recipe in Julia Child’s recipe book - Mastering the Art of French Cooking. While doing this she set up a blog detailing her highs and lows. Pretty funny stuff.
I am curious to see what happens and what will all come from blogging. So here it goes.

Hi, Margaret -
I was just checking the TASL website and happened upon your new blog.
Interestingly, I’ve spent the morning developing my first blog in preparation for an advanced children’s lit course at WKU. It is located here http://hilltopper08.wordpress.com/ Although mine isn’t quite as sophisticated as yours, hopefully, it will evolve into something useful.
Love the latte bit! We all need our caffeine!
Kindest regards,

Margaret,
Very cool, indeed! It is very interesting that I learned about your blog just this week as I have had students showing some interest in developing a blog for students to discuss books they have read. Now I know where to get some help when I start working on it! Thanks for being so brave!

Love the name of your blog, too. Very cute play on words (names?).
